Chronicle: The First Australian Company to Receive KIP Award from ICCFA

ICCFA KIP AWARDS

Chronicle, a cloud-based cemetery software dedicated to enhancing cemetery record management and online sharing of deceased details, has made history as the first Australian company to receive a KIP Award from the International Cemetery, Cremation, and Funeral Association (ICCFA).

The ICCFA’s KIP Award, conceived by the ICCFA Personalisation Committee, honour excellence drew entries from diverse corners of the globe, including Australia, Brazil, Canada, Guatemala, Mexico, and the United States, competing in four unique categories: Most Personalised Service/Memorial for Funeral Home, Most Personalised Service/Memorial for Cemetery, Most Personalised Pet Service, and Innovative Personalised Product – the category in which Chronicle made its mark.

Chronicle has been recognised with an Honourable Mention in the 2022 ICCFA KIP Award, competing in the Supplier category for its Innovative Personalised Product – Life Chronicle. Life Chronicle, an innovative online memorial tool offered by Chronicle, enables families and friends to create lasting digital tributes directly linked to their loved ones’ final resting place. This is a testament to our commitment to honouring the life before us and preserving their legacies for future generations.

Standing Out in a Competitive Industry

“We have gained so many tractions and exponential growth, and I could not be more proud of my team at Chronicle. They deserved an award for all their hard work in producing, innovating, maintaining, and growing our product to what it is now,” says Matthew Borowski, the CEO of Chronicle.

Operating independently, Chronicle has carved its own path in an industry often dominated by corporate-backed competitors, demonstrating that passion and quality can stand toe-to-toe with larger enterprises. This dedication has not gone unnoticed. In addition to garnering esteemed reviews on Capterra, Chronicle’s cemetery digitisation collaboration with Murray River Council in New South Wales, Australia, has also received the Local Government Week Award in 2022. This affirms Chronicle’s standing as a strong and respected player in this industry.

Chronicle was invited and featured at the KIP Awards and Designations ceremony. Rocky Ahmann, Chronicle’s Digital Cemetery Consultant for North America, received the award on behalf of the company for this occasion. This prestigious event took place as part of the 2023 ICCFA Annual Convention & Exposition in Kansas City, Missouri, on May 18, 2023.
